Attendance charts, 1940
This collection cosists of three attendance charts with graphs illustrating 1) Yearly attendance totals 1897-1940 with "Normal" and "Rehabilitation Work Done for U.S. Government" for years 1919-1927, (2) Attendance by year 1897-1940 for day and evening students, and (3) Evening School attendance by terms for years 1918- 1937 (shows men and women totals for selected years 1918-1922 and Day School attendance by quarters, 1918-1937).

Included are 5 sheets (2 copies of each), with a 2-page document titled "Remodeling Plans and Specifications." Also included are quotes received from two contractors: Charles S. Lawrence and Jones Construction Co. The building indicated in these documents is possibly the Practice House or women's dormitory.

This building was designed by Henry Ives Cobb, though drawing is not so marked. The drawings include the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors as well as the Basement and Mezzanine.

This plat map of Block 4 in Ashland's 2nd Addition is bounded by Winchester, Monroe, Robey, and Madison Streets. The map is marked "Shaded portion indicates proposed structure," and it is stamped: "Building Dept. City of Chicago Approved May [illeg.]." The proposed structure is probably the Engineering Building, built in 1903.
